Yesterday and Today..

Our family spent yesterday night at Kings Dominion for the "Kings Fest"! It's where a lot of christian artists come and perform. Last night was Barlow Girl, Skillet, and Casting Crowns!! So much fun. We took our Syd with us and Preston and Jordybug stayed at a friends house (thanks guys). We rode rides with the older boys and spent time with them-which doesn't happen often! So it was really great. I'll try to take some pics tonight...i forgot my camera last night..oops!
Now I am on to make a cake before I leave to go to Kings Dominion again! Now it's just my hubby and I going with the baby!! His Mom is keeping the kids overnight since our anniversary is next week! It will be a well needed break-but we do have a wedding to go to tommorow-so it's going to be a crazy weekend!~!! Then my hubby leaves for Florida for a convention on Sunday, then it's my church's VBS for the kids and I have to make cupcakes for that~100 of them!!
So on to a crazy weekend!!

Rough days....

Today couldn't have been crazier! It was such a frustrating day just trying to get out the door! We started with a few chores-that shouldn't have been complicated, however, they turned out to be!
For some reason my children went on a "i don't have to listen" binge! I guess it's the summertime indoor blues. Ya see, it's been raining the last couple of days and then we've had to go get uniforms. Atleast I can check that off my "to do" list!!!! Praise the Lord for that. Although it was like cha·os ( 1.a state of utter confusion or disorder; a total lack of organization or order.
2.any confused, disorderly mass:)! It certainly seemed that way. Trying to order uniforms for back to school, with the eldest child begging for a certain jacket, the middle boy pleaded for one, the younger boy wanting a pink shirt (which is not a bad thing), to my daughter screaming and I mean screaming for a mint...gum...ANYTHING! Wow!!
Then I realized...I have like 2 diapers! oh, great....Target run! So, with all five children in tow we proceded to Target like geese in a row! Now, I am attempting to feed the baby, then put everyone including myself to Bed for a nap!!! LOL~ have a blessed night!

Today....the beginning of my blogging...

Okay, so I can't guarantee that I'll post something everyday...but here's to my first blog..oh..and forgive any mispellings....
Today has been good. The kids are out for vacation and I needed to go order uniforms, but our friend of the family (more like a little sis), Syd showed up and we all know we are in for fun when she's around! She's known us since my third son, Preston was born and has babysat ever since! She's 18 and a lot of fun...like she lives as if every day was her last!
ok.......I have to cut in on this story...b/c on tv there was something that about drove me nuts!!! Why do people say..."You look great for having 5 kids"??? I mean can't we look beautiful just as ourselves, not that having 5 kids has completely derailed any last thought for being beautiful.....anyway..had to break in with that!
So, where was i??? Oh, yea...Syd. Well, she joined us for lunch with the hubby at church (he works for our church running the coffee bar and bookstore-yea we have both and they are fun and crazy all at once) for a seafood lunch. I haven't had one in a while, so I was excited!
Then we came home and put all but the baby and my older son, Tevin to bed. At which time Syd decide to take him to a skateboard shop...he was really siked because he LOVES to skateboard!! I got some time to myself since everyone was sleeping, which doesn't happen often because I nurse. ya know...every two hours...still. She's almost 5 months old...I can't believe it!
She rolled over a couple weeks ago and now she's at "giggling" stage!! It's exciting and sad at the same time because we have decided she will be our last. It's a good thing, don't get me wrong, but it's still sad. No more baby smell, first smiles, giggles, laughs...diapers (well, that would be great!)
Anyhooo...I was just thinking while getting ready to feed my darling, Caitlyn..."SHE SEE'S HER HANDS!!!" I mean, I knew she had found them lately because she keeps eating them, espescially her thumb..she loves it! But this time it was awe inspiring...how amazing that God the creator of the universe knows that at this very moment, she would look and see her beautiful hand....SO PRECIOUS!!! I'm just amazed!
Well...I have the hubby wondering if I've written a novel...LOL! I love him!
