Home Renovations Part 2

So if you been reading, we are putting tile in our kitchen. Um...shall I say... I want my house back!! We are basically living in 1 room downstairs and I have a makeshift kitchen-a large skillet and water from the upstairs bathroom. We are washing dishes up there too-ugh!! But it's worth it.
My hubby and sons have been working their butts off! Yesterday they worked from 1:30 until almost 11pm!! Today has been an all day project and not done yet.
The only major frustration I had yesterday is they never put up plastic over the doors-ok people, if you ever tile yourself-do this first! I walked in last night (dinner in hand) to EVERY and I mean EVERY surface of my downstairs coated in dust....now that's gonna be fun cleaning up!
Anywoo...here are some pics!
(I'm sorry, but that man is sexy while he's workin' and no-your not allowed to look at him like that!)

The tile! (some dust and all, that is why the pic is fuzzy)

Hopefully we will see the finished product by Tuesday!! Yay! Can't wait to have my kitchen back!!
(Or home for that matter!)

p.s...so proud of my men!

Home Renovations are.....

NO fun until you're finished!
We are beginning the process of fixing up our house to sell.
Our first to do is: new ceramic tile in the kitchen. I can't believe the steal deal we got on it either! It was normally $1.59 a tile...multiply that with what we needed and it was going to be around $400.00 for all of it. We happened to go to Home depot the other Friday and found this tile for $0.20 cents a tile (Yes, folks, I am not exaggerating!)!!! We paid $50 bucks for ALL of the tile to do the kitchen, downstairs bathroom, pantry and coat closet!!! Unbelievable!!! That is totally a God thing!!
Hubby started his destructive  renovations Monday and it's to my demise, I tell you! I have no dishwasher, staples in the floor I've had jabbed up my foot multiple times just today, a fridge and stove that are in the middle of the kitchen, and I've run out of trash bags! Ugh...home renovations.
I happen to ask when he thought he'd be finished at which time he responded "Do you want our whole tax return spent on this kitchen or can you be patient?"...UM...yea, I think I can shut my mouth for the time being!
Although, I will not be asking anyone over for the next few weeks until this tile work is done, I figured I'd share the before and after photos (ya know, when he is done) with all of yall! Aren't yall excited to share in my mess right now?!
So here are the befores:

Lovely floor...huh??

I know it will be great when he's done! He did our hardwood floors and they are beautiful...so this is going to be just as lovely! He's going to place them in a diamond pattern so the kitchen will appear bigger...selling point!
I'm getting excited about what God is doing and providing (just like the tile). It's going to be great...just a BIG CHANGE....that's needed. We want to be where God wants us-the right place.

At a loss

The last weeks have been purging, beautiful, painful and wonderful all at once. I can't explain it. The more I cut off the noise and listen, the sweeter His voice becomes. The more sure of His plan for us that I am. The more I pain at the thought of what is to come-and yet excited for what is to come. Make any sense?
Oh well. I just know that it's a lot sooner than I thought...the change. Right now, I am so emotional. Selling the house...that's one emotion. We've lived here seven years, babies have been born here, raised here, loved here. There names and their heights are written on doors and that will be erased...(or shall I just steal the door-yea, that's what I will do...:) ). The fears that try to arise in the midst of the peace He alone can give.
The more I look to the future, I am amazed at what God is doing...how could I doubt the one that placed the stars in their place and the sun in the sky...how? My flesh. My flesh is weak, but the spirit is willing...so the flesh will become obedient. Obedient to His plans, His thoughts toward me. The ones I don't think of myself. Oh, how awesome is He? How holy is He.
When you get a moment, just sit and ask Him to come near. Ask Him to fill you with His presence....and you'll be at a loss. A loss for words, words to tell how good, wonderful and lovely He really is.....Holy.

Show us your life-Exercise and Weight Loss

Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner

Over at Kelly's Korner, she is having Show us your life, Exercise....so here is mine:
Initially, we purchased the Wii Fit. I thought it would be great. It is good for weighing yourself and keeping track of the calories you lose. However, the exercises/aerobics don't challenge me enough. The other thing is if you are an overly sensitive person, it can certainly hurt your feelings. I got on it and it said things that were true, but rude...so be prepared. And expect your Mii to adjust to what it assumes you look like... So I am using that to play games with the kids, keep myself active and track my progress.
I go every Monday night to aerobis at our church. They have it three days a week, but because I work, I can't go the other nights. It's free and they are trained instructors who really push you. I love it there. All the women encourage each other and know when you miss...so they keep you accountable.
The last thing I am doing is the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels. It kicks my butt!! I can't believe how much my legs hurt! It's on three levels, but it's good intensity and keeps you moving. I am doing that 2 days a week.
Food wise, limiting sugar intake. No sodas, except on occasion. Eating healthier....that's my goal. I have 45 pounds total to loose and I have already lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks. I am well on my way.
It's a lifestyle change though. Making an effort to eat healther and workout. It's for Me though, not for anyone elses' enjoyment. I need to get fit!
Happy Life Changing!!

Happy Birthday, My Love....

My husbands birthday is today. He's not much for parties on his behalf (espescially since we are fasting-no pizza in sight here.) although, he is certainly ready for that when this thing concludes! We did spend Friday together seeing "Blind Side". Awesome movie!!! We shared good talks which we needed and long for when this life gets so busy with the kids.
I love this man. I mean, I really Love this man. He is my anchor when all seems lost. He always knows what to say-even when he doesn't realize it. He is a man of faith-serious faith. Who would go to the ends of the earth so that someone wouldn't be lost without Jesus. He's shown me so much courage and zest for life-I'm often breathtaken. Simply breathtaken.
God has brought us far. I have to look back what He has brought us out of and it's amazing. It doesn't always feel amazing-but it's certainly been worth it! And where we are going isn't too shabby either...

To my man of Faith. To my man of Love. To the father of our children. To the one who loves me unconditionally. I love you so much. More than any human could. You are amazing. An amazing husband, father, friend, son-Man.
Happy Birthday, Baby!

(what could be more adorable than Daddy and his girls?)

(So thankful these boys have someone to follow after)

For all the times you make me laugh....Thank you.
