Aww...to think, Jesus paid the ultimate price for us and the took the keys from Hell....for us! And He was raised from the dead for us!! Thank you Jesus for the price you paid!
Isn't this coloring adorable? Well, Preston colored it for me on Palm Sunday!
I am so thankful!! Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Resurrection!! Have a blessed one!!
The egg is seen as symbolic of the grave and life renewed or resurrected by breaking out of it. The red supposedly symbolizes the blood of Christ redeeming the world and human redemption through the blood shed in the sacrifice of the crucifixion. The egg itself is a symbol of resurrection: while being dormant it contains a new life sealed within it.
For Orthodox Christians, the Easter egg is much more than a celebration of the ending of the fast, it is a declaration of the Resurrection of Jesus.
Here are our beautiful eggs that we did tonight!! Each child had two and I had 3! Aren't they pretty?!
Here they all are (minus Caitlyn...she was sleeping) dying there eggs! (Pardon the mess-I was cookin' all day!)
