ER Visit/Update and Prayer Request..

Last night was totally unexpected! We ended up taking Caitlyn to the ER at like 9:30 at night (by myself-because hubby had other kiddos)-her face was swollen like a giant peach!!! I couldn't believe it! She had started with a rash earlier in the day, but after going to the doctors office and them acting like it is no big deal-I moved on.
Well, as the day went on, the poofier she got and the fussier she got. I called the doctor's after hours line and they said to rush her to the ER. So I did.
Immediately they greeted me and got me back quickly where 4 people were waiting to work on her. She got a lighted toe, her and I got badges, she got her own blood pressure monitor and she got a bunch of people lookin' at her.
They figured it was the antibiotic that the doctor had given her earlier (apparently allergic children shouldn't be given amoxicillin!!). The doctor was great and gave her an oral steriod, a large dose of benadryl, an antibiotic and a pure coating of PINK calamine lotion!! I really wished I had my camera-because she was like the Pink Panther!!!
She was a trooper and took all her meds and played with her little "red" toe for about 2 hours. She was as sweet and as calm as a cucumber...I was impressed. We got home about 12:15 and she dozed off until a little while ago.
Now I am on my way to pick up new meds and get her all better. So PLEASE, please, be praying these new meds work and she will have NO reaction!! I don't think I could handle another ER visit!!
